Learning outcomes
The student can analyse and denote existing architectural details in a methodical and substantiated way and apply that knowledge in the development and presentation of an architectural design.
Content
The creative design process in architecture is a constant interaction between the design of the whole and its parts. It is the relationship between concept (the idea) and the technique and the material (the detail). Analysis of the precedents contributes to a better understanding of the strong integration of technical engineering and architecture. Furthermore, the frame of reference of the student will be expanded.
