Learning outcomes
The student is able to:
1. Understand the concept of Operations Management and understand how Operations strategically is connected to the general strategy of companies and organisations;
2. Understand and remember (the different): Transformation processes like production and transportation and is able to analyse and apply this under supervision in simple situations;
3. Analyse, design solutions and advice companies both oral and written in the functional area of Operations Management , based on simple cases or real life company and under supervision;
4. Work in groups, communicate with team-members and to communicate with representatives of the company;
5. Using different software programs for performing analysis, preparing presentations and or write reports.

Organisations can deliver products or services or a mix of them. For professionals in business administration is it important to understand this primary process so that they, independent of their role as for example manager or external consultant, are
able to describe and analyse this process and based on their knowledge they can advise on possible improvements and on the implementation. The course Operations Management has the objective to create a strong linkage to practice this is realised by the
Operations Management Assignment, but also the business simulation game will contribute to that.
