Learning outcomes

Intended learning outcomes at graduation level:

Core task 5: to organise and steer
As artistic director, you will direct, organise and strengthen the entire process of an interdisciplinary artistic project and make this insightful both for yourself and others.

Core Task 6: to sow and reap
On the basis of research, the evaluation of your design and final performance and your artistic concept and signature, you will create a substantiated plan for your professional practice as an artistic entrepreneur that reflects your artistic practice in such a way that it is suitable for submission to external parties, such as grant providers and stakeholders.

Reflection
You justify the choices you made in the creative/thinking process of your project and reflect on their meaning in the light of your development as an entrepreneurial artist in pop culture.
You indicate the coherence between the professional products in relation to your ambitions as an entrepreneurial artist.

In the main phase of the Popular Culture programme, the student can partially demonstrate the learning outcomes at graduation level; at main phase level. After completing this module, the student is able to independently deploy a number of provided methods, working methods and tool products that fit their own artistic entrepreneurial practice. In addition, the student has gained knowledge of the possibilities that various agencies and organisations can offer the artistic entrepreneur.

Content

Students study the characteristics of their own artistic entrepreneurial practice in a practice based project and lectures by different (guest) tutors. They work on mapping their own network and opportunities in practice. They also work on a number of professional products such as invoices, riders, an electronic press kit and fictitious registrations with key organisations and agencies.

Among other things, the student focuses on mapping out a network and (the management of) his/her own organisation/artistic practice. The student also focuses on creating professional products in the field of marketing, branding, and financial organisations and agencies.
