Learning outcomes
Intended learning outcomes at graduation level:
Core task 1: explore and observe
You research and analyse trends and developments in society that provide inspiration for your creative artistic practice in pop culture and take a position in relation to the trends studied.
You will develop a guiding artistic vision for your own practice based on your analysis of trends and developments.
Core task 4: to realise and deliver
You present an artistic product in an interdisciplinary performance to your audience, target group or client with a clearly defined intended impact on that audience.
You can evaluate, analyse and provide insight into the realisation of the intended impact in a followable way.
Core task 5: to organise and steer
As artistic director, you will direct, organise and strengthen the entire process of an interdisciplinary artistic project and make this insightful both for yourself and others.
Core Task 6: to sow and reap
On the basis of research, the evaluation of your design and final performance and your artistic concept and signature, you will create a substantiated plan for your professional practice as an artistic entrepreneur that reflects your artistic practice in such a way that it is suitable for submission to external parties, such as grant providers and stakeholders.
Reflection
You justify the choices you made in the creative/thinking process of your project and reflect on their meaning in the light of your development as an entrepreneurial artist in pop culture.
You indicate the coherence between the professional products in relation to your ambitions as an entrepreneurial artist. As a beginning professional, the student learns to apply and integrate knowledge, insight and skills in a variety of professional situations.
Depending on the chosen work placement and work placement activities, the student works on a number of core tasks of their choice. In any case, the student works on core task 1, analysing a current trend relevant to the company based on research. A stakeholder around this topic is also interviewed. Depending on the student's activities and learning questions, during the internship the student works on professional products for core task 4 and/or 5 and/or 6: artistic products (sound, visuals, media), professional products around (artistic) entrepreneurship, or products around a self-chosen theme, such as education. Only the learning outcomes that match the learning questions and tasks performed (core tasks 4, 5, 6) are tested.

Content
Students choose an internship company based on their own ambition and from at least one of the following core themes of Popular Culture: sound, visuals and media and/or artistic entrepreneurship. It is also possible for the student to deepen or professionalise in other themes.
The internship can, for example, connect to one's own artistic practice ( sound, visuals and media), the practice of artistic entrepreneurship, or to an ‘other’ practice, which is not defined in the core themes of Popular Culture, think for example of education. A combination of these themes is always possible, as long as one of them is the basis for the internship.
Depending on the chosen internship site and internship activities, the student works on a number of core tasks depending on the student's learning questions and ambition. The aim of the internship is to become acquainted with and professionalise within a chosen professional practice, in which the student carries out tasks independently but under supervision.
