Learning outcomes

PLO3: Relationship Management 

In this course, students develop foundational skills in the foreign language and an understanding of the foreign culture to facilitate international business among culturally diverse stakeholders. 

Learning Line: Global mindset and professional development 

CLO1: At the A1 (beginner) CEFR level, students can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. They can introduce themselves and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where they live, people they know and things they have. They can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help. 


PLO4: Self-Management 

In this course, students develop foundational skills in the foreign language and an understanding of the foreign culture to navigate complex international contexts and enhance their professional self-management.   

Learning Line: Global mindset and professional development 

CLO1: Students demonstrate awareness of how basic language and cultural skills support their self-management and personal growth.

Content

Learning a foreign language helps students become business professionals with a global mindset, as it will allow them to connect with people from another culture. By speaking another language and understanding another culture, they can break down the barriers of communication, putting themselves at a huge advantage as a business professional, next to experiencing a new world view and discovering new concepts.
