Content

Content:
This course focuses on improving your academic English reading, writing and speaking skills. Formality and academic vocabulary are addressed in writing assignments, reading and discussing of current articles, and a presentation in which students utilise their own study background expertise. You will learn to read professional publications quicker and more efficiently by reading several publications within your own field of study, and you will expand your (mostly) passive academic vocabulary knowledge and create your own personalised academic vocabulary list with vocabulary/jargon from the Academic Word List and from your own field of study. And you will give an academic poster presentation on an academic article of your own choosing.

Details:
We expect attendance and full (100%) preparation for each lesson.

Upon passing Academic English B2, you receive a certificate confirming your attained level according to the European Framework of References, allowing you to create a European Language Passport. This passport is internationally recognized. . If you perform particularly well on the course, you can be awarded a certificate indicating you are at C1 level.

Classes are held once a week at the same time, scheduled in the late afternoon or evening.
