Learning outcomes
3.1 Students are aware of developments in their specialist field, the wider professional music world and society at large. Students demonstrate how they integrate that awareness into their professional abilities and use it to enhance their own career and to serve the community.
4.3 Students reflect on their own working methods, and understand the implications of choices and decisions, which they can explain retrospectively both to colleagues and to individuals working outside the field.
4.6 Students conduct research in a structured manner on issues that are connected to their professional practice.
Content
The second year of the master program is dedicated to deepening the development of your professional practice. In the third semester you can choose to fill in the Practice Based Research course at another institute (see the TER), or you can follow the regular program at the PCC.
During the second year of the program the same PBR goals as described in semesters one and two apply. The PBR course in semester 3 focusses on analysing your research data, summarizing the main research findings, reflecting on the implications of these findings for your professional practice, and how the sources relate to this. Reflection on your skills, attitude and working methods in relation to the aims of the course is a key feature during the PBR coaching in the second year of your studies.
