The primary goal is to teach the student to recognize and solve basic EMC problems.
The student:
The student:
- converts a schematic into an EMC-schematic;
- performs simulations and calculate on basic EMC problems;
- designs circuits with low EMI;
- knows about relevant legislation;
- is able to measure on circuits w.r.t. EMC;
- performs EMC measurements in an EMC lab.
Inhoud
In this course the basics of Electro-Magnetic Compliance (EMC) will be addressed.
- Number of lectures: 4 x 2 hours theory lessons + 1 practice day
- Lecture type: Slide presentations supplemented with LTspice examples
- Topics: 1. Introduction and analysis 2. Interference 3. EMC solutions 4. Regulatory and operational requirements 5. Practice day at an EMC facility
- Assessment: Theoretical questions and LTspice exercises
