The thesis project is a means of showing that you are able to work (semi)autonomously and independently in on a complex project and that you have the ability to evaluate, challenge, modify and develop theory and practice. You are expected to demonstrate an ability to isolate and focus on the significant features of the problem you choose to work on and to offer a contribution to solution from a transdisciplinary perspective. This means producing original and innovative work in your field of interest that is generally applicable within the field of local energy transition, and therefore worthy of publication or public performance or display. You should demonstrate abstract thinking in research and when applying energy concepts.
 
Furthermore you should show mastery of the Programme Learning Outcomes. In your portfolio you have defined your own learning goals. You should use the thesis project to work on these goals as well.
 
During the thesis the Community of Learners that you have been part of will remain an important environment to share knowledge and experiences and improve the impact of your research.
