- Within the context of indicated and/or care-related prevention, and under the supervision of a physiotherapist, the student can verbally inform clients and their relatives and/or other involved parties about health-promoting behavior and the client’s own responsibility in this regard, using language that is understandable to the client and in line with the principles of professional communication. Professional roles: Healthcare Provider (HCP), Reflective Practitioner (RP), Communicator (COM), level 2.
- Based on a described case study, the student can independently carry out a physiotherapeutic partial assessment and treatment for a client with a complex central neurological condition. Professional roles: Healthcare Provider (HCP), Reflective Practitioner (RP), Communicator (COM), level 2.
Inhoud
PT-care 6 consists of 2 courses of 5 EC that are interwoven with each other. Course 1: Neurology & Rehabilitation 2 and course 2: Skills & integration.
This course concerns skills & professional integration and covers the more practical part of PT care 6 in Neurology & Rehabilitation 2.
The examination and treatment of a patient with neurological complaints are customized processes. The impairments, limitations, and participation problems can vary significantly. It is essential for students to develop and implement appropriate examination and treatment plans for patient with central neurological complaints. This course will be completed with a performance assessment in which a student under guidance of the teacher performs a (partial) assement en (partial) treatment based on a case. Cases will cover the cases of PT 5 and 6. Assessment and treatment skills will be assessed formatively during the course.
