Content

The course Pediatric Physiotherapy consists of 2 parts.

Part 1:

Theoretical and practical instruction will be given in the field of physiotherapy for children. The main focus of this module is the development (motoric and social-emotional) and locomotor learning of children (ages 0 to 18 years). We will discuss specific pediatric physiotherapeutic clinimetric tools and observational skills. Observational skills will be tested by means of a presentation. When relevant, we will work with patient demonstrations. The module will end with a practical test in which skills and clinical reasoning are tested by means of case study.

Part 2:

A number of specific conditions will be discussed in this module. Attention will be paid to the development of these conditions and the role of a pediatric physiotherapist. The module will end with a practical test in which skills and clinical reasoning are tested by means of case study.
